Master Troubleshooting & Diagnostics Matrix
| Error Code / Indicator | Symptom / Meaning | Step-by-Step DIY Fix | Suggested Actions |
|---|---|---|---|
N/A | Entrance step does not function properly or at all due to dirt or frost Possible Cause: Dirt or frost accumulation on the hinges | Clean or defrost the hinges. Please observe the enclosed manufacturer’s operating instructions. | DIY Safe |
N/A | Pushlock is stuck (on doors, drawers, or gas-bottle container) Possible Cause: Pressure on the pushlock mechanism | Press lightly on the door of the gas-bottle container (around the pushlock) to relieve the pressure on the pushlock. | DIY Safe |
N/A | The app cannot be found in the store (HobbyConnect app) | Check the settings on the device; write HobbyConnect as one word and not two. Check the app settings in the respective country. | DIY Safe |
N/A | App connection exists, but elements in the vehicle do not react to switching (HobbyConnect) | Check the power supply; if necessary, disconnect it briefly. Contact your dealer. | DIY Check / Tech Fallback |
N/A | Bluetooth connection does not work (HobbyConnect) Possible Cause: Distance to the vehicle is too great, or Bluetooth is not activated. | Check the settings on your mobile device to ensure that Bluetooth has been activated. Check if the distance to the vehicle is too great. | DIY Safe |
N/A | Automatic circuit breaker goes off abruptly again after switching it back on Possible Cause: Either a short circuit or an earth fault. | Check and/or repair by an electrical engineering specialist. Switching it back on again and again will do no good. | DIY Check / Tech Fallback |
N/A | Battery is not charged via the alternator | Check the following points: Is the 50A fuse in the supply line to the ancillary battery near the motor battery functioning properly? Is the 40A fuse in the supply line to the combined device OK? Is the “Motor running” signal on the input module on? Is the combined charger/charge booster SMP 439-10 active? | DIY Safe |
N/A | Crash sensor has tripped / gas flow interrupted following an accident Possible Cause: An accident or heavy impact has triggered the integrated crash sensor in the DuoControl CS (delay of 4.0 g ± 1.0 g). | To reset, press firmly on the yellow reset button (7), turn it lightly in a clockwise direction and hold for 10 seconds until it stays in the “Ready” position. If the resetting procedure is unsuccessful, use the Torx T20 (12) located by the tool to assist with screwing/unscrewing (11) to assist turning in a clockwise direction. | DIY Safe |
N/A | Mixed operation (heating system): 230V power supply interrupted Possible Cause: Interruption of the 230V power supply | The heating system will switch automatically to diesel operation. As soon as the 230V power supply has been reinstated, the heating system will automatically switch back to mixed operation. | DIY Safe |
N/A | Combustion process malfunction during mixed operation (e.g. Combi D) Possible Cause: Lack of fuel or other combustion malfunction | The heating system will switch automatically to electric operation. If it is running in mixed operation, the cause of the malfunction must be eliminated. Use the control panel to switch the heating off and then on again. | DIY Safe |
Operational Fault | Electric operation (heating system): 230V power supply interrupted while 12V supply is switched on Possible Cause: Interruption of the 230V power supply | As soon as the 230V power supply has been reinstated, the heating system will automatically be restarted using the previous settings. The error code will disappear. | DIY Safe |
Operational Fault | Truma CP plus warning (operating parameter has reached an undefined status) Possible Cause: An operating parameter has reached an undefined status | Use the error list to determine the cause of the warning and eliminate it. To clear when cause is eliminated: press the adjusting knob/pushbutton. To keep in warning state: press the "reset" button. | DIY Safe |
Operational Fault | Truma CP plus malfunction Possible Cause: A device malfunction has occurred | To clear when cause is eliminated: press the adjusting knob/pushbutton (the corresponding device will be restarted). If cause is not eliminated: press the "reset" button (the device will remain in a state of malfunction). | DIY Safe |
N/A | FrostControl safety/drain valve automatically draining boiler contents Possible Cause: Risk of sub-zero temperatures (valve temperature below approx. 3°C) or excess pressure in the system | Ensure the valve temperature is above approx. 7°C, check that the rotary switch is set to operation (parallel to the water supply) and has locked into place, then close the FrostControl by pressing the pushbutton into the closed position. | DIY Safe |
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I empty the fresh water tank?
To empty the fresh water tank, turn the rotating wheel to the left to open. Always empty the fresh water tank completely if the heating has not been switched on and the van is not in use, and especially if there is frost.
Q: How do I change the gas cylinders?
Open the flap of the gas bottle container. Pull out the extendible gas bottle container. Close the main stop valve on the gas cylinder, paying attention to the direction of the arrow. Unscrew the gas pressure regulator/high-pressure hose by hand from the gas bottle (left-handed thread). Loosen the fixing strap and remove the gas cylinder. Place a full gas bottle back in the extendible gas bottle container and use both fastening straps to lash it securely. Screw the gas pressure regulator/high-pressure hose by hand on to the gas bottle (left-handed thread). Open the valve of the full, connected gas bottle (open both gas bottles when equipped with DuoControl CS). If equipped with a crash sensor, press on the hose rupture protection (button) on the high-pressure hose. Check that gas is not escaping from the connection point using leak detector spray. Push the extendible gas bottle container back in and close the door.
