Master Troubleshooting & Diagnostics Matrix

Error Code / IndicatorSymptom / MeaningPossible CauseStep-by-Step DIY FixSuggested Actions
N/A
The PSU is giving no 230V output.
The hook-up lead from the site to the vehicle isn't plugged in.
Make sure the hook-up lead is plugged in properly, including where it goes into the socket underneath the EC328 PSU.
DIY Safe
N/A
The PSU is giving no 230V output.
RCD switched off.
Reset the RCD.
DIY Safe
N/A
The PSU is giving no 230V output.
RCD not operating correctly.
Check the supply polarity - if the RCD still won't reset, contact your dealer, since it's likely an equipment or wiring fault.
DIY Check / Tech Fallback
N/A
The PSU is giving no 230V output.
MCB switched off.
Reset the MCB: flick it off (down), then back on (up). If it keeps tripping, contact your dealer - an appliance or the wiring is likely at fault.
DIY Check / Tech Fallback
N/A
The PSU is giving no 230V output.
The site's hook-up isn't supplying power, or not enough of it.
Contact the site warden for assistance.

N/A
The PSU is giving no 230V output.
Other fault.
Contact your dealer.

Control panel has no display
Batteries discharged, EC328 PSU charger switch off, or mains supply not connected.
Check the batteries, switch the EC328 PSU's charger on and make sure the mains is plugged in. Then check the control panel's lead is firmly connected at both ends - at the PSU and behind the panel. If the display still won't come on, contact your dealer.
DIY Check / Tech Fallback
N/A
12v power turns off
Either the battery-save function has cut in to protect the vehicle and/or leisure battery, or the engine has been started - which disconnects all the equipment automatically to comply with EMC rules.
This is normal protective behaviour in both cases - no fault action needed.
DIY Safe
N/A
The control panel's display is garbled or behaving erratically.
The control panel's software has probably frozen.
Restart the control panel: switch the EC328 PSU's charger off, pull out fuses 1 and 2 on the PSU (the two 20A fuses for the leisure and vehicle batteries), wait 30 seconds, put them back and switch the charger on again. Or unclip the panel's bezel (pull it down at the centre of its bottom edge), unplug the panel's multi-way connector, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in and refit the bezel.

N/A
Control panel contrast poor
Contrast preset needs adjusting.
Unclip the control panel's bezel (pull it down at the centre of its bottom edge), but leave the panel plugged in. Use a small jeweller's screwdriver to carefully adjust the contrast preset on the back of the panel.
DIY Safe
N/A
Control panel current reading incorrect
Current sensor needs recalibrating.
Switch the charger off and turn the power off at the control panel so no LEDs are lit. Scroll down until the display shows battery current, then press and hold the select (left arrow) button - 'calibrating...' appears; keep holding until the battery current figure comes back, then let go. The reading should now be right.
DIY Safe
N/A
The PSU is giving no 12V output.
No 230v supply.
Check the 230V supply first: the hook-up lead is plugged in at both ends (including the socket underneath the EC328 PSU), the RCD and MCB are both switched on (reset either one if it has tripped), and the site's own supply is actually live.
DIY Safe
N/A
The PSU is giving no 12V output.
Charger not switched on.
Turn the charger switch to on (I); it lights up when it is on.
DIY Safe
N/A
The PSU is giving no 12V output.
Battery not connected and/or charged.
Install a charged battery.
DIY Safe
N/A
The PSU is giving no 12V output.
The control panel's power switch is off.
Turn the power on at the control panel.
DIY Safe
N/A
The PSU is giving no 12V output.
Battery flat / battery fuse blown.
Recharge the battery, check the fuses, and confirm charging voltage is actually reaching the battery.
DIY Safe
N/A
The PSU is giving no 12V output.
Fuse blown.
Check every fuse is sound and that each one is the rating the fuse table specifies.
DIY Safe
N/A
The PSU is giving no 12V output.
Equipment switched off / unplugged.
Make sure the appliance is switched on and plugged into the 12V supply.
DIY Safe
N/A
The PSU is giving no 12V output.
PSU overheated / auto shutdown operated.
Switch some things off to reduce the load and let the PSU cool - it restarts by itself once it has cooled.
DIY Safe
N/A
The PSU is giving no 12V output.
Other fault.
Contact your dealer.

Pump not working
Pump switched off at the control panel, or fuse blown.
Switch the pump on with the pump (tap symbol) button on the EC328 control panel, and check the pump's fuse.
DIY Safe
N/A
Pump turned off unexpectedly
Fuse blown, or the internal/external pump feed setting is incorrect.
The EC328 control panel switches the inside and outside pump feeds together - make sure the pump (tap button) setting is the one you want, and check the pump's fuse.
